At the core of my mission is the belief that sound, music, and vibration have a profound impact on every aspect of our being. As Mitchell Gaynor put it, no organ system in the body remains untouched by their influence; they resonate through us, shaping our experiences.
My name is Vanessa Phillips, and I am a classically trained pianist, pop singer, and music educator. While music is my primary passion, my interests span a wide spectrum, ranging from science and astrophysics to dance and spirituality. Exploring spirituality, physical and mental well-being, and the fascinating intricacies of our existence captivate me. To delve deeper into understanding the human mind, I am currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Psychology through Liverpool John Moores University. I aim to intertwine my knowledge of psychology with my musical journey, exploring the unique interplay between the two realms.
Throughout my career, I've ventured into various fields within the music industry. Apart from teaching, I have composed music for film, worked as a répétiteur and accompanist for opera companies, and even had the exciting opportunity to contribute to the Netflix series "Resident Evil" as a hand double, playing the captivating Liszt transcription of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony.
However, my passion goes beyond performance and creativity; I strongly believe in using music to make a positive impact on communities, especially in poverty alleviation and skills development. Moreover, I have a heartfelt desire to support children on the autism spectrum. I've witnessed the transformative potential of music in the lives of children and adults, and this has inspired me to continue making a difference.
This platform serves as a hub for my musical endeavours, community work aspirations as well as an online community for my students and their parents to find helpful, free resources in a space that not only celebrates the beauty of music but also fosters initiatives to empower communities through its influence. Together, let's explore new frontiers and create meaningful connections, using music as a catalyst for positive change.
Thank you for joining me on this extraordinary journey!
